One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays.
If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.
Let's take a look at some players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on FanDuel tonight, using numberFire's daily fantasy basketball projections as a guide.
Isaiah Jackson, PF, Pacers ($4,600)
Andrew Nembhard, PG/SG, Pacers ($4,900)
The Indiana Pacers are going to be without Tyrese Haliburton, Myles Turner, Bennedict Mathurin and T.J. McConnell. Buddy Hield is also listed as questionable, so, yeah, they're an obvious go-to-value spot on this slate. As such, I'm using up two of my three picks on Pacers players.
We saw Indiana in a similar situation in their most recent game, which came against the Detroit Pistons, the same team they play tonight. In that one, Isaiah Jackson blew up for 45.7 FanDuel points while Andrew Nembhard had 32.6 FanDuel points.
Both are projecting super well for this rematch, which is a game that I'm not sure either side wants to win. (We'll get to Detroit in a second.) Our model has Jackson as the slate's premier point-per-dollar play, projecting him to score 33.0 FanDuel points (7.18 per $1,000). We have Nembhard going for 28.3 FanDuel points (5.78 per $1,000).
Chris Duarte ($4,400) and Jalen Smith ($4,700) need to be on our radar, too.
Isaiah Livers, PF, Pistons ($4,900)
On the opposite side of this tankfest, Detroit will be missing Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic, Marvin Bagley III, Isaiah Stewart and Alec Burks (in addition to the long-standing absence of Cade Cunningham).
Detroit was super short-handed last time out against Indiana, and Isaiah Livers ripped off 43.8 FanDuel points. He's played 37, 30 and 37 minutes over his past three, and there are going to be gobs of shots up for grabs in this one.
Livers, Killian Hayes ($6,400), Eugene Omoruyi ($4,400) and Rodney McGruder ($4,000) look like excellent point-per-dollar plays as of Monday afternoon.
