One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays.
If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.
Let's take a look at some players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on FanDuel tonight, using numberFire's daily fantasy basketball projections as a guide.
Cam Reddish, SG/SF, Blazers ($5,000)
Trendon Watford, PF, Blazers ($5,700)
I'm lumping these two Portland Trail Blazers together. The Blazers are going to be without Jerami Grant, Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little and Justise Winslow. That puts Cam Reddish and Trendon Watford in a great spot tonight.
There isn't much of a sample with those four off the floor this year, but in the split, Watford and Reddish have produced 0.97 and 0.52 FanDuel points per minute, respectively, per CourtIQ. While Reddish's per-minute output stinks, the sample for him is only 51 minutes.
These two are projected starters, and they have a dope matchup with the Utah Jazz in a game that boasts a 234.5-point total and 4.5-point spread.
Our model likes Watford more between the two, projecting him for 27.7 FanDuel points (4.86 per $1,000), but I'm into both as midrange plays who can deliver the goods in a friendly matchup.
Matisse Thybulle ($4,500) is another solid value option from Portland.
Xavier Tillman, PF/C, Grizzlies ($5,300)
Another slate with the Memphis Grizzlies on it, another day where Xavier Tillman is projecting well.
The Grizz are getting back Ja Morant but are still going to be without Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke, which should mean another start and another game of solid minutes from Tillman.
Tillman has played at least 20 minutes in 14 straight games, and he draws a sublime matchup against the Houston Rockets. Houston is 28th in defensive rating over the past 15 games and has allowed the 11th-most FanDuel points per game to centers (56.6) in that span.
Blowout risk is a concern with the Grizzlies a 12.5-point favorite, but Houston has been pretty competitive lately as they haven't lost by more than 13 in any of their past seven games.
