Joel Embiid Over 10.5 Rebounds (-108)
Joel Embiid was held to just five rebounds in Game 1, but there are reasons to back him to go over his rebounding prop in Game 2.
The matchup with the Brooklyn Nets should be a great spot for Embiid on the glass. Over the last 15 games of the regular season, Brooklyn gave up the eighth-most rebounds per game to the center position (15.8). For the season as a whole, the Nets surrendered the fourth-most rebounds per game to centers (16.2).
Embiid averaged 11.5 rebounds per night over two regular-season meetings with Brooklyn.
In short, the five-board effort in Game 1 was flukey, and Embiid should bounce back today. Our model projects him for 11.3 rebounds in Game 2.
De'Aaron Fox Over 5.5 Assists (-148)
De'Aaron Fox averaged 6.1 assists per game for the season. He played the Golden State Warriors three times in the regular season and recorded 8, 6, and 10 assists in the three games.
So, of course, Fox dished out just five assists n Game 1 -- leaning more on his scoring as he dropped in 38 points in the win.
But Fox was unlucky to have only five dimes as he totaled 13 potential assists, and for Game 2, our model projects him right at his season-long average of 6.1 assists.
I'm siding with the over on Fox's assists for what should be another high-scoring, fast-paced affair.
