Steph Curry Over 4.5 Made Threes (-130)
Through two games of the series with the Sacramento Kings, Stephen Curry has attempted a whopping 27 total threes. That's a great sign for this over.
Steph firing away from deep is pretty much exactly what we should've expected, too, as the Kings surrendered the eighth-most made triples per game to point guards in the regular season.
Curry has hit only 9 of 27 from three in the series, but that 33.3% clip is well below his 42.7% three-point percentage from the regular season.
Not only is he due for an uptick in made threes, Curry might get up even more attempts tonight with Draymond Green off the floor. In that split this year, Curry attempted 2.1 more threes per night than his season-long average, according to CourtIQ, and his usage rate jumps by a team-high 3.4 percentage points in the split -- up to 34.2%.
In a great matchup and with his team short-handed in a crucial game, Curry should be letting it fly today. Our model projects him to hit 4.9 threes on 12.2 attempts, and the over is the side I'll be on.
Normal Powell Under 15.5 Points (-128)
The season-long usage splits for the Los Angeles Clippers are tough to trust. Both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George missed at least 26 games apiece, and the Clips added Russell Westbrook to the fold later in the year. That results in Norman Powell being an afterthought in some games and a key contributor in others.
In tonight's expected floor condition -- with Russ and Kawhi on the court but PG off it -- Powell held a 21.1% usage rate this season, per CourtIQ, although the sample is just 92 minutes (including the playoffs). While he netted 18.0 points per 36 minutes in the split, Powell is unlikely to see that much run, as he's logged 28.0 and 23.2 minutes through the first two games of the series.
Even after losing Mikal Bridges, the Phoenix Suns have been tough on two-guards, holding the position to just 22.8 points per game -- the 11th-fewest -- over the final 15 contests of the regular season.
Powell has scored 14 and 12 points so far in the series, and we project him to put up 14.5 points in Game 3.
