Best Bets on Today's NBA Player Props Market
There's an exciting NBA slate on Wednesday, March 1st, as there's an ESPN doubleheader in which the Boston Celtics host the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the New Orleans Pelicans face the Portland Trail Blazers in the late game. However, the biggest story of the night will be Kevin Durant making his debut for the Phoenix Suns. We don't have any player props on Durant specifically, but we do have one that is tied to him. With that said, keep reading for our favorite player props of the night, with Chris Paul, Mark Williams and Gabe Vincent being the focal points this evening.

Here are our favorite NBA prop bets for Wednesday, March 1 (odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook):
Phoenix Suns (-10, 229) at Charlotte Hornets
Chris Paul has had at least nine assists in 23 of the 41 games he has started this year, according to our Daily Prop Analyzer. Now, the Point God gets to go up against a Hornets team that is in the bottom half of the league in defensive rating. Oh, and he’ll do so with Kevin Durant in the lineup.
It should take Phoenix a little time to fully click with its new superstar in the mix, but it’s hard to see Paul not dishing out at least nine assists with pure scorers like Durant and Devin Booker next to him — especially against a lousy defensive team. Also, with Durant demanding so much attention in this game, Paul should be able to dump the ball inside for some easy Deandre Ayton buckets.
This play almost seems too good to be true, but we can’t lay off at this number.
Bet: Paul Over 8.5 Assists (-130)
Phoenix Suns (-10, 229) at Charlotte Hornets
We’ll try to avoid going with two players in the same game as often as we can in this column, but Mark Williams’ point total is too low to ignore. The Charlotte center has been a revelation this season, as he looks like a long-term starting center in this league — and a natural as a pick-and-roll partner for LaMelo Ball, who is out for the season after having fractured his ankle last game. Williams is going to suffer a bit with Ball out of the lineup, but he should still be salivating at this matchup.
For as good as Ayton can be defensively, the Phoenix center does occasionally struggle to show up with the right energy against weaker opponents. The Hornets definitely fall into that category, and Williams happens to be the worst medicine for that. He has a relentless motor and is incredibly gifted as an athlete. He should have no trouble getting to 12 points tonight, with a lot of those coming on second-chance opportunities. Williams has hit this mark in four of his last five games, and he should do it again here.
Bet: Williams Over 11.5 Points (-130)
Philadelphia 76ers (-2, 215.5) vs. Miami Heat
When you think of Miami’s Gabe Vincent, you’re likely thinking of a three-point shooter — and it’s possible you’re thinking nothing at all. The Heat guard mostly jacks up difficult shots and that’s exactly what he’s needed for on a team that is lacking in offensive fire power. However, Vincent has surprisingly been productive as a rebounder when he has gotten opportunities to start.
In the 14 games that Vincent has started this season, the 26-year-old has grabbed at least three rebounds in 10 of them. That’s obviously a small sample size, but 71.4 percent is 71.4 percent. So, considering Vincent is starting for Miami in tonight’s game, it’s hard to take our eyes off this one.
You can get Vincent at plus-money odds to go out and grab three boards this evening, and we strongly advise taking a shot on it. This will assuredly be a sweat, as he’s a 6-foot-3 guard that isn’t known for hitting the glass. But the numbers don’t lie and it’s worth playing at these odds.
Bet: Vincent Over 2.5 Rebounds (+130)
