West Ham vs. Brentford
Brentford to win +260
Draw +250
Brentford find themselves sizable underdogs against West Ham despite having a much better first half of the season. Brentford are 4W-8D-4L and have gone 1-3-0 in their last four, including a 2-2 draw against Tottenham in their first game back from the World Cup break.
West Ham are well behind Brentford in the standings at 4-2-10, and with only 14 points in 16 games, the Hammers find themselves in the relegation race. West Ham have lost their last four games, including a 3-1 loss to Arsenal on Boxing Day.
Brentford have a strong chance to get at least a point, and hedging between win or draw would still net favorable odds.
Wolves vs. Manchester United
Manchester United to win -115
United came out strong with a 3-0 win in the first game after the World Cup break, giving them a 9-2-4 record for the season. The win put United in fifth place, only one point behind fourth-place Tottenham, and with a game in hand, the Red Devils are in a great position to move up to a top-four spot.
Wolves are on the other end of the table at 3-4-9, but they did win 2-1 against a struggling Everton side on Boxing Day. Despite the win, Wolves are in 18th place this season with a very real chance of being relegated to the Championship.
Manchester United are a perfect 4-0-0 against the bottom-five teams in the table, as they have taken care of business against the relegation candidates all year long. This game should be no different, as Wolves are clearly a bottom-five side in the league and will struggle for points against good competition.
Brighton vs. Arsenal
Arsenal to win +115
Arsenal are atop the table through 15 games with a remarkable 13-1-1 record -- a mark that has topped Manchester City by five points almost halfway through the season. The Gunners' remarkable run has included a 6-1-1 record away from home with a +10 goal difference in those matches. Brighton may have home-field advantage, but the Gunners do not give much ground away from home.
Brighton are 7-3-5, which is good enough for seventh place this season, and they appear to be legitimate challengers for a Europa League place. However, Brighton have cooled off a little bit after a hot start, going 3-2-4 over their last nine matches. They did win against Southampton 3-1 in their first match post-World Cup, but with Southampton currently in last place, that win is far from impressive.
Arsenal have consistently proven themselves to be a top side this season, and they are likely to win this match against a good-but-not-dominant Brighton side.
